5 COVID-19 Patients Died In One Week In Majalengka
MAJALENGKA - The Majalengka Regency Health Office, West Java, recorded that in a week there were 5 cases of death due to positive confirmed COVID-19, while the addition of new cases in the same period reached 239 people.
"Today there is an additional case of death," said Majalengka District Health Office Secretary Agus Susanto, quoted from Antara, Sunday, February 13.
Agus said that for a week, there were 5 cases of deaths due to exposure to COVID-19 in Majalengka Regency.
According to him, from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the total number of deaths in the area reached 822 people or 6.7 percent.
Meanwhile, Agus said, in the same period positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 reached 239 people, and every day it continued to increase.
"Today alone there are additional new cases reaching 56 people," he said.
Agus continued that active cases in Majalengka Regency currently reach 297 people with an average of undergoing self-isolation in their respective homes.
While the remaining 13 people are undergoing treatment in hospitals, both in Majalengka Regency, and hospitals outside Majalengka.
He ensured that the isolation room at the hospital was very prepared to face a spike in cases, but it was hoped that only mild symptoms would occur.
"Because the average has been vaccinated, it is hoped that only mild symptoms," he said.
