Two Days Disappeared, Hotma Hutauruk's Body Found Swollen In Parit

KOTAWARINGIN – Two days later, Hotma Hutauruk (52) was found by a resident, swollen and lifeless in a ditch beside Jalan Pelita Barat, Mentawa Baru District, Ketapang, Sampit, East Kotawaringin Regency, Central Kalimantan, Sunday, February 13.

The middle-aged woman who worked as a civil servant (PNS) at Dr Murjani Sampit Hospital was found by a local resident who happened to be passing by and smelled an unpleasant odor.

"The body was found at around 04.30 WIB when a resident passed by. Residents were shocked to see a body floating," said Cahyo, a resident of Sampit, quoting Antara, Sunday, February 13.

Officers who came to the location then immediately evacuated the body to Dr. Murjani Sampit Hospital.

When found the identity of the victim is not yet known because there is no identity card. There were no items found in the vicinity of the incident, such as motorbikes and others.

The identity of the victim was only known after the victim's family came to the Murjani Hospital. The family believes that the woman's body is Hotma Hutauruk, their family who has been serving as civil servants at the local hospital.

In the last few days, the family has been looking for Hotma. The woman has not returned home since Friday, February 11, last.

The family was shocked and devastated when they found Hotma now dead and in poor condition.

The family immediately prepared for departure because the body was planned to be brought back to his hometown in Medan, North Sumatra. However, an autopsy will be carried out at the RSUD Dr. Doris Sylvanus Palangka Raya. The victim is known to live on Jalan Kepodang, Perumnas Pembina, Mentawa Baru District, Ketapang with a nephew. His son is out of the area because he is already working.

The family has searched several places but could not find it. That's why the family was surprised to find the fact that the bodies found were in fact Hotma, their family.

"We are also confused as to why it was found there. We, from the family, leave this matter completely to the police who are investigating the case. Hopefully it will be revealed soon," said Sairul Simanjuntak, one of the victims' families.

East Kotawaringin Police Chief AKBP Sarpani through the Head of the AKP Criminal Investigation Unit Gede Agus Putra Atmaja said his party was still investigating the incident where the body was found. They hope to solve this case soon.

"We are still investigating this to find out the cause of the victim's death. Please pray that we can reveal it soon," said Gede.
