Become A Terrorist Suspect, Two Bengkulu MUI Officials Are Officially Inactive

JAKARTA - The arrests of the Bengkulu City Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) with the initials RH and CA by the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police team, have a long tail. The two statuses are now officially inactive. The head of Bengkulu City MUI, Yul Khamra in Bengkulu, said that CA previously served as Chairman of the Fatwa Commission, while RH served as Deputy Chair I in charge of the Bengkulu MUI Fatwa Commission.

"The deactivation was carried out considering that both of them had been named suspects by the National Police Headquarters some time ago," said Khamra quoted by Antara, Saturday, February 12. once served as Secretary General and is an Arabic language lecturer at a private university in Bengkulu Province. "We don't know his background, we know he is a da'wah interpreter," he said.

According to Khamra, his party did not even suspect the two of them because in their daily life they got along as usual.

Previously, RH was arrested by the Densus 88 Anti-terror Team of the National Police along with two colleagues, namely CA in Sidomulyo Village, Bengkulu City, and M in Taba Penanjung District, Central Bengkulu Regency. the JI terrorist group since 1999.
