Bareskrim Names One Suspect Case Of Alleged Fraud FBS Application Trading
JAKARTA - The Directorate of Special Economic Crimes, Bareskrim Polri, has named one suspect in the alleged fraudulent case of binary options trading through the FBS trading application.
The determination of the suspect was the result of an investigation after raiding shop houses in the Bandung area, West Java, on Wednesday, February 9.
"The name of the suspect has been determined by W," said the Director of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police, Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan, when confirmed, Thursday, February 10.
In this case, the suspect with the initial W plays a role in offering commodity trading with a zero spread system to the victim. That is, there is no difference between the selling price and the purchase price of the commodity.
"Offered to the victim and he also received money from the victim," said Whisnu.
However, it is not yet clear how many victims were involved in the suspect's actions. It was recorded that there was one person who lost Rp. 8 million.
"The victim who sent Rp 8 million in money turned out to be unable to trade, instead the money ran out," he said.
Until now, this case is still being developed. It is suspected that there are other perpetrators.
Meanwhile, suspect W has been detained. He was charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code and or Article 45A paragraph (1) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and or Article 106 of Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade.
Then Article 80 (1) of Law Number 3 of 2011 concerning Transfer of Funds and or Article 10 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering (TPPU) against unlicensed Commodity Futures Trading trading applications.
