Prabowo's Younger Brother Rebuttals To Get 'sustenance' From The IKN Project For Presidential Election Capital, So It's A Coincidence

JAKARTA - Arsari Group CEO Hashim Djojohadikusumo has denied allegations of receiving a 'sustenance' project in the new State Capital (IKN), East Kalimantan. Hashim said the accusations were merely slander.

"I was surprised and disappointed that my name was mentioned as if I was part of an oligarchy, as if I continued to get sustenance from the government, I got project sharing from the government, and as if this was part of a political deal between Pak Prabowo and Pak Jokowi to Prabowo is withdrawn or welcomed as part of the Indonesian government in 2019, this is a circulating issue," said Hashim in a virtual press conference, Tuesday, February 8.

Hashim also denied that the projects he handled were not for the 2024 presidential election capital.

"I said that the projects I handled were all private, there was no APBN. That means I can't steal money to fund the presidential election," said Hashim. 2024 is garbage news. "I think this is garbage news, I consider it garbage. Unless you want to donate to Pak Prabowo's campaign, go ahead. We open up opportunities," he said. The private sector is in line with what President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has directed. "Pak Jokowi and the minister have emphasized that as much as possible the funds for this project will come from the private sector and private investment. The state budget should be minimized, as much as possible the role of the state budget will be minimized," he said. Hashim said the project he was running in East Kalimantan was just a 'coincidence' because he owned land in Balikpapan. He explained that the Arsari Group has owned land in Balikpapan since 2007.

At that time, Hashim decided to buy a company that had a fairly large Forest Concession Right (HPH) covering an area of 266 thousand hectares and a land area of approximately 450 hectares.

"Then in 2013 I released 93 thousand hectares to the community and local government. I released it to the community without receiving any compensation, that was in 2013," he said.

Previously, the accusation that Prabowo Subianto's brother was splashed by the IKN project was made by the University of Indonesia economist, Faisal Basri. He had talked about the government having distributed 'sustenance' related to the ratification of the State Capital Law (UU IKN).

The University of Indonesia economist mentioned a number of figures who are said to be involved in a large project for the new capital city.

The first to be mentioned is Gerindra politician Hashim Djojohadikusumo. He was said by Faisal to be able to provide 'sustenance' for the provision of clean water in the new capital city.

"All of them will be appointed directly, and some have even been appointed, for example Hashim Djojohadikusumo gets sustenance to procure clean water. No laws have been distributed, moreover the laws already exist," said Faisal. Meanwhile, Hashim's brother, Prabowo Subianto, and entrepreneur Sukanto Tanoto is the one who is said to be managing the land for the new capital city. "We know that the land is managed by Prabowo and Sukanto Tanoto. We don't know how the negotiations will go," said the economist who was born in Bandung, November 6, 1959.
