Allegedly Corruption In Land Sales, Bengkulu Kejari Detains A Sub-District Head In Bengkulu
BENGKULU - The Bengkulu District Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) has detained and appointed the Head of Muara Bangkahulu Sub-district, Bengkulu City, A related to the alleged corruption case in the case of selling land owned by the Bengkulu City Government covering an area of 8.6 hectares.
The Head of the Bengkulu District Attorney's Office, Yunitha Arifin, said that A was suspected of being involved in the sale of 8.6 hectares of Bengkulu City Government assets at the Korpri Bentiring Housing Estate, Bengkulu City.
Previously in this case two people had been convicted, namely DH President Director of PT Tiga Putera DH and former Bentiring Lurah MS.
"It is true that suspect A played an active role in eliminating 8.6 hectares of Bengkulu City Government land assets," Yunitha said in Bengkulu, Tuesday, February 8.
Suspect A is also tasked with bringing together sellers in the case of buying and selling land assets of the Bengkulu City Government with the convicts DH and MS.
According to him, after the suspect was identified, he was immediately detained in the Bengkulu Police detention room for the next 20 days.
Currently, his party continues to develop the case, whether there are other parties involved in the case or not.
For the alleged corruption case, suspect A is subject to Article 2 paragraph 1 subsidiary Article 3 of Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 to 1 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a maximum fine of Rp. billion. Until now, A still serves as the sub-district head in Muara Bangkahulu.
