Arrested During Police Raids, Tarkam 'League' Footballer Admits To Using Methamphetamine To Increase Stamina
JAKARTA - One of the drug users who was arrested in Boncos Village, Palmerah, West Jakarta a few days ago turned out to be a tarkam (inter-village) soccer player. The man, named Masardi, admitted to using crystal meth for stamina purposes.
"I have a friend's club, where I was invited to play for Ciamis. Play big field ball. Not just tarkam." said Masardi, a 41-year-old man when asked by reporters, Monday, February 7th.
Masardi said, before leaving with his entourage to compete in Ciamis, he visited Boncos Village to buy methamphetamine for consumption.
Masardi bought a small package of methamphetamine for Rp. 100,000.
"If it's like you can't use drugs (shabu), then you won't have stamina, it's not enough. But if you use it, you're agile (run) fast," admitted Masardi.
According to his confession, he works as a package deliveryman, aka a courier. Playing football, said Masadi, was just a hobby. However, because Masardi played well and was trusted, he became a withdrawn player.
"I play football anywhere. In Jatibening I play, because they see I'm good. I have Wing Back back up and down to the top. (Sabu) doping is the term," he explained.
Previously, it was reported that the Palmerah Police again raided Boncos Village, Friday, February 4, afternoon. As a result, a drug user named Masardi was arrested along with five plastic clips containing methamphetamine.
