The company, which is owned by the Hidayat family conglomerate, continues to record positive growth in terms of sales and net profit. Citing the financial report released Monday, February 7, through its main products, herbal herbs and supplements such as Tolak Angin, Sido Muncul managed to record a net profit of IDR 1.26 trillion throughout 2021, up 34.9 percent from net profit in 2020 of IDR 934.02 billion. .
Of course, one of the factors driving the achievement of these profits is increasing sales. Throughout 2021, Sido Muncul recorded total sales of Rp. 4.02 trillion, up 26.49 percent from sales in 2020 of Rp. 3.33 trillion.
From there, of course, herbal products and supplements became the biggest contributors. The value reached IDR 2.69 trillion or equivalent to 66.9 percent of the total sales.
Sales of herbal herbal products and supplements rose 21.17 percent from the acquisition in 2020 of Rp2.22 trillion.
Not only that, Sido Muncul also has food and beverage products, as well as pharmaceuticals. The sales achievement of these products is no less great.
Just look at the sales of food and beverages produced by Sido Muncul which reached Rp. 1.19 trillion, up 19 percent from Rp. 1 trillion. Then sales of pharmaceutical products grew by 26.49 percent from IDR 108.43 billion in 2020 to IDR 137.15 billion.
In its annual report, the management of Sido Muncul explained, as a company engaged in the herbal and pharmaceutical industry, Sido Muncul with its products which are dominated by standardized and modern herbal products, is at the forefront of contributing to help nourish and increase the immune system of the Indonesian people. Especially since the COVID-19 pandemic which began to hit Indonesia in 2020.
For this reason, Sido Muncul continues to work hard to spur production in order to meet consumer needs and maintain sufficient stock availability. Sales through the modern trade segment and digital platforms show a graph of a significant increase during this pandemic.
