COVID-19 Cases In Bali Soar, Deputy Governor Cok Ace: Omicron Spreads So Fast

DENPASAR - Deputy Governor of Bali Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati (Cok Ace) said the high number of COVID-19 cases in Bali was due to the rapid spread of Omicron.

"It has been said before that the character of the omicron spreads so quickly, but the illness and fatality are not higher," said Cok Ace at the Bali DPRD building, Monday, February 7.

The Bali Provincial Government emphasized that Cok Ace reminded people affected by COVID-19 to undergo centralized isolation (isoter) that had been prepared in districts and cities.

"Therefore, we hope that if the symptoms are not too severe, we will isolate them and the government has given more attention to conducting centralized isolation in several places. Reports from friends in the district are ready and there is no longer any self-isolation. Especially for those who do not have enough isolation places. Even if the symptoms are mild," he added.

According to him, the high number of COVID-19 cases in Bali came from various clusters. Namely, school clusters also have football and of course crowd clusters that occur in various places.

"We are directing the isoter now. Because we avoid going to the hospital if it is not very important. Do not let (the hospital) be filled with mild symptoms," he continued.

For now, the daily number of cases in Bali has reached more than 1,000 people exposed to COVID-19.

"Before 2,000 more. It's mostly because of omicron," said Cok Ace.
