Good News From Wisma Athletes, 74 COVID-19 Patients Reduced, Bed Occupancy Still Above 60 Percent

JAKARTA - The number of patients being treated at the COVID-19 Special Emergency Hospital (RSDC) Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, Jakarta, decreased by 74 people per day compared to the previous day, Saturday, February 5.

Head of Information for the Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) I Marine Colonel Aris Mudian said that 5,934 inpatients were confirmed positive (COVID-19) at Towers 4, 5, 6, and 7.

"While the original number (one day earlier) was 6,008 people. Inpatients were reduced by 74 people," said Aris conveying the development of the situation at the Kemayoran Athlete Hospital RSDC, Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, February 6.

He also said that from March 23, 2020 to February 6, 2022, the number of patients referred to the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital was 144,836 people. Although there has been a reduction in patients in the last 24 hours, the number of patients treated at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Hospital is still above 5,000 people.

Thus, the bed occupancy rate (BOR) at the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran Hospital is still above 60 percent, considering that the emergency hospital has a total of 8,173 beds spread across Tower 4, Tower 5, Tower 6, and Tower 7.

The current BOR figure of the Kemayoran Athlete's Wisma RSDC is still above the safe limit set by the World Health Organization (WHO) of 60 percent.

"There are 183 inpatients, of which 111 are men and 72 women. All 183 patients have been confirmed positive for COVID-19," said Aris as quoted from his written statement.

The head of information for Kogabwilhan I TNI noted that in the last 24 hours there have been 26 inpatients at the Galang Island Hospital. "As of February 6, 2022, 183 inpatients were inpatient, originally (one day earlier) were 157," he asserted.

From 12 April 2020 to 6 February 2022, the Galang Island Hospital received a total of 18,567 patients.
