It's Not Enough To Apologize, NasDem Legislators Ask Police To Investigate Bumame Pharmacy Who 'Covided' Residents

JAKARTA - Member of Commission IX DPR RI Irma Suryani Chaniago responded to the viral PCR test results that 'covided' someone from Bumame Pharmacy.

Previously, there was a woman named Zakiah who claimed to have received a positive test result for COVID-19 from Bumame Pharmacy in the condition that she had not done an antigen or PCR test. The video then went viral and went viral on social media.

According to Irma, although Bumame Pharmacy admitted that he was wrong, the police must continue to investigate the incident. Because he said, it could cause a commotion in the public. Moreover, cases of COVID-19 are increasing.

"This must still be investigated, because it makes noise and has a negative connotation," said Irma when contacted, Friday, February 4.

The member of the health commission regretted the incident. Because, human error should not occur in any laboratory because it will have a negative impact on society.

"This will cause public distrust of the results of the swab test, even though it is still needed," said Irma.

The NasDem politician also reminded the government to be careful about the swab test laboratory. "Don't let this also make the atmosphere cloudy, get excited about quarantine," said Irma.

It is known, a video showing the frustration of a woman because she got the PCR test results from Bumame Pharmacy, before she did the test, was widely discussed in the social media world.

"Yesterday I was sent, while I have not been here (Bumame) the results of the antigen test. Then this morning I was sent the results of the PCR test while I have not arrived," said a woman in the video to Bumame officers, quoted Friday, February 4.

According to him, this was strange, because he had not yet carried out a PCR test at Bumame. He was even more upset when both test results were positive. "This is detrimental," he said.

In response to this, Bumame's management acknowledged that there was an administrative error at one of Bumame Pharmacy's branches, which was detrimental to consumers.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this incident has caused," said Bumame's management.
