Witness And Reporter Of The Alleged SARA Case, Arteria Dahlan, Was Unable To Attend
JAKARTA - Two reporters in the case of alleged Sundanese SARA involving Arteria Dahlan could not fulfill the summons to be examined as witnesses. For this reason, they asked for the examination to be postponed.
"(We ask for the examination, ed) to be postponed for the near future. This is because two people from the reporting party or the reporting witnesses are unable to attend," said Chairman of the Presidium Poros Nusantara, Urip Hariyanto in his statement, Friday, February 4.
The two witnesses could not attend the examination because they were busy with other things. Where, one of them must accompany his wife who will undergo surgery.
"The reporter, his child gave birth. Then, one witness to the reporter, his wife underwent surgery at the hospital," said Urip.
For that reason, Urip stated that he had submitted a request for a postponement of the examination. However, it was not detailed about the time submitted for the examination.
"We have proposed a postponement of the inspection schedule to the Polda Metro Jaya," said Urip. Previously, the Polda Metro Jaya had started to investigate the alleged SARA case involving Member of Commission III of the DPR RI, Arteria Dahlan. This is because the complainant of the case will be questioned today.
"God willing, we will attend. The agenda is to examine the reporting party and the reporting witness," said Urip.
In the later investigation, said Urip, several other parties were also summoned to provide information. They are representatives of the Sundanese Customary Council, the LPPAM NGO, the Indonesian Fisherman Farmers Communication Forum.
"This means a follow-up examination," he said.
Arteria Dahlan was reported by the Sundanese Customary Council to the West Java Regional Police. The report was the aftermath of his statement questioning the use of the Sundanese language by the West Java High Court in the meeting.
