Alert! Positive Cases Of COVID-19 In North Sumatra Increase By 198 People

MEDAN - The North Sumatra Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force reported new positive cases of COVID-19 in the province increased by 198 people per day.

Based on data from the North Sumatra COVID-19 Handling Task Force, the 198 new cases were local transmissions.

In addition to new cases, there was also an increase in the number of patients who recovered from the SARS-CoV-2 type virus, which was 15 people, so that the accumulation increased to 103,277 cases.

Then, for cases of death due to COVID-19 in North Sumatra, there were no additions, bringing the total to 2,900 people.

With this addition, there are currently 770 active cases or patients undergoing treatment and isolation due to COVID-19. That number represents an additional 183 people compared to Wednesday, February 2.

Reported by Antara, Thursday, February 3, nationally, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Thursday increased by 27,197 cases, of which 26,467 people were local transmissions and 730 foreign travelers. The current accumulation is 4,414,483 cases.

Based on these data, the most cases came from DKI Jakarta with 10,117 cases, followed by West Java with 7,308 cases, Banten with 4,312 cases, Bali with 1,501 cases and East Java with 1,394 cases.

Nationally recovered cases of COVID-19 increased by 5,993 people, currently the total has reached 4,154,797 people. The most recovered cases came from DKI Jakarta with an additional 4,400 cases.

Nationally, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 increased by 38 people, bringing the total to 144,411 people.
