Following Instructions From The Ministry Of Home Affairs, Palangka Raya City Government Extends PPKM Level 2 Until January 14

PALANGKA RAYA - The City Government of Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan Province has extended the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) Level 2 until January 14, 2022.

"This Level 2 PPKM was determined based on the Minister of Home Affairs Number 07 of 2022 concerning PPKM Level 3, Level 2 and Level 1 regarding COVID-19 in Sumatra, Nusa Tenggara, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua," said Palangka Raya Mayor Fairid Naparin at Palangka Raya, Antara, Thursday, February 3.

Fairid said that until now his party has continued to maximize the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic by monitoring the implementation of health protocols.

In addition, his party also continues to carry out intensive education and outreach to the public as well as tracing, treatment, and testing (3T) and intensify the COVID-19 vaccination.

Based on data from the COVID-19 Task Force, until February 3, 2022, the accumulation of positive COVID-19 patients in Palangka Raya City recorded 13,180 accumulated positive confirmed cases.

Then the patients who were declared cured reached 12,612 people or 95.69 percent of the number of positive patients. Furthermore, 520 patients who died and 48 people or the remaining 0.36 percent were still confirmed positive for the corona virus.

For this reason, he also invited the local community to always apply the COVID-19 health protocol, thereby minimizing the potential and preventing the spread of the corona virus.

As an effort to break the chain of spread of COVID-19, the Palangka Raya City Government, through the task force team, continues to make various efforts, ranging from socialization, early detection, security to case handling.

His party will also ensure that any central government policies related to handling COVID-19 will be implemented in the Palangka Raya City area.
