Police Confirms Report Of Arteria Dahlan's Alleged Hate Speech Regarding 'Kajati In Sundanese' Is Still Being Processed
JAKARTA - The National Police stated that the case of alleged hate speech involving Arteria Dahlan is still being processed. In the near future, the handling will be explained.
"Everything has been processed, we will provide an update in the not too distant future," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Wednesday, February 2.
However, Dedi did not specify the extent of the handling of the case. It is only emphasized that the Polda Metro Jaya currently has the authority or handles it.
"Let's wait, yes, everything is in the process because the handling is from the Polda Metro Jaya," said Dedi.
Arteria Dahlan was reported by the Sundanese Customary Council to the West Java Regional Police. The report was the aftermath of his statement questioning the use of the Sundanese language by the West Java High Court in the meeting.
Previously, the Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, confirmed the report. However, the handling of the case has been delegated to the Polda Metro Jaya.
The reason for the transfer of the case is because the location of the incident in the report is in Jakarta or within the jurisdiction of the Polda Metro Jaya.
"It has been handed over to the Polda Metro Jaya," said Ibrahim.
