Up To Level 2, Magelang Cancels 100 Percent PTM Degree
JAKARTA – The surge in positive cases of COVID-19 has made several regional governments alert. One of them, the Magelang City Government, Central Java, which canceled 100 percent face-to-face learning (PTM) for school children.
Previously, they planned to start PTM in February 2022. However, because Magelang City is now entering PPKM level 2 again, the plan had to be canceled.
"The 100 percent PTM plan can't be carried out this February. Previously, I said for 100 percent PTM, see how it goes in early February," said Magelang Mayor Muchamad Nur Aziz in Magelang, Tuesday, February 1, quoted from Antara.
Aziz emphasized that because the City of Magelang is currently entering level 2, the PTM remains only 50 percent. However, he said, tourism activities will continue and visitors are only given 50 percent capacity.
The implementation of PPKM level 2 in Magelang City is in accordance with the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 6 of 2022 concerning PPKM level 3, level 2 and level 1 COVID-19 in Java and Bali.
According to him, the increase from level 1 to level 2 is one of the reasons because there are not many searches being carried out.
"The reason for this level increase is one of the reasons for the lack of searches. Then four more COVID-19 cases. Four cases in Magelang City are quite a lot," he said after opening the Indo Magelang Photo Archive Exhibition, Between Memories and Identity at the Drs Cultural Workshop. Soekimin Adiwiratmoko, Magelang City.
He said the current search was still considered inadequate. This is possible because they feel that there are no cases of COVID-19.
Aziz said the Magelang City Government had reopened the centralized isolation at Hotel Borobudur Magelang. This opening was carried out due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.
