COVID-19 Update As Of February 1st: 16,021 Positive Cases Found
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today, Tuesday, February 1. Of the 377,588 specimens examined, 16,021 positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 were found.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,369,391 people and active cases have increased by 12,753 cases to 81,349 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, February 1.
Today's recovered cases increased by 3,240 cases, bringing the total to 4,143,694 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 28 people, bringing the total to 144,348 people.
The province with the most new cases was in Jakarta with 6,391 cases. With this addition, the total is 919,743 cases in Jakarta.
Followed by West Java with 4,249 new cases. This brings the total to 731,106 cases. Furthermore, Banten Province with 2,463 new cases with a total of 148,463 cases.
Meanwhile, the province with the most recovered cases today is in Jakarta with an increase of 1,668 cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 869 cases recovered.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health also noted that the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 72,331,366.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 9.86 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 12,121 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 185,121,652 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 128,655,689 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
Meanwhile, the third dose of vaccination is 4,511,560. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
