Back In The Premier League And Defending Brentford, Eriksen Sends A Touching Message

JAKARTA - Having experienced a cardiac arrest incident at Euro 2020 ago, Christian Eriksen is now able to graze again with a recovered condition. After officially joining Brentford, Eriksen is ready to feel the atmosphere of the English Premier League again.

At this new club, Eriksen is on loan with a contract period of six months or until the end of the season. Being able to show his ability again on the field and gain confidence, Eriksen also delivered a quite touching message.

Through the official website of Brentford, the midfielder said he was proud to be part of the team. Because after the cardiac arrest, he thought his career would stop.

"Hi everyone I am Christian Eriksen. I am proud to announce that I have signed a contract with Brentford Football Club," said Eriksen.

Not only that, Eriksen also admitted that he couldn't wait for the time to appear and defend his new team. Eriksen even said that he wanted to be able to meet the fans on the pitch as soon as possible.

"I can't wait to get started and hope to see all of you (supporters) in the near future," he continued in a short video.

Eriksen suffered cardiac arrest while appearing at Euro 2020, when Denmark faced Finland. Thanks to the quick help of his teammates and the medical team on duty, Eriksen's life was saved.

But Eriksen, who at that time defended Inter Milan, could no longer continue his career as a player in the Italian League. Because, the rules in the Italian League do not allow players with pacemakers to compete on the field.

After that incident, Eriksen and Inter Milan finally agreed to separate at the end of the year. Eriksen was then without a club until he was officially signed by Brentford until the end of the season.

Eriksen himself has confirmed his determination to return to the gridiron, one of which is to open up the opportunity to appear at the 2022 World Cup. Eriksen has a target of wanting to enter the Denmark squad at the World Cup in Qatar 2022 at the end of the year.

Eriksen's efforts to get a place in the Denmark squad are open if he is able to show his best qualities when defending Brentford.
