The National Police's Food Task Force Examines Alleged Involvement Of Officials Behind The Misuse Of Subsidized Fertilizer

JAKARTA - The National Police's Food Task Force will investigate the alleged involvement of unscrupulous officials in the case of misuse of subsidized fertilizers.

"So we will carry out investigations down to or covering aspects of regulators, operators, executors, all of them," said the Head of the National Police's Food Task Force Inspector General Helmy Santika to reporters, Monday, January 31.

In the process, according to Helmy, the Food Task Force will trace it from the bottom up. Until finally, it was known whether there was involvement of any official.

"I thought earlier that the pattern was that we would try to carry out an investigation and investigation from the bottom up," said Helmy.

This search departs from the disclosure of cases of misuse of subsidized fertilizers in the Tangerang area, Banten. Where, the case caused state losses of Rp. 30 billion.

"So the state is suspected of facing a loss of Rp. 30 billion," said Deputy Chief of the Food Task Force for the National Police, Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan.

In this case, two people with the initials AEF and MD were named as suspects. They used the names of farmers who received subsidized fertilizers, armed with the electronic system for the Definitive Plan for Farmers' Group Needs (e-RDKK).

"This suspect committed a crime by falsifying information to those entitled to subsidized fertilizer," said Whisnu.
