COVID-19 Number Soars, Mayor Of Bogor Stops PTM All Schools

BOGOR - Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto took a firm stance on stopping face-to-face learning (PTM) at all school levels in his area with an unspecified time limit, due to the spike in COVID-19 cases among students and educators.

"Until an undetermined time, until the spike slows down. All children's vaccines, including the second dose, all teachers and education staff have been vaccinated with boosters," said Bima Arya after a coordination meeting on the COVID-19 spike with Forkopimda at Expression Park, Sempur Village, Central Bogor District, Monday 31 January.

According to Bima, the Bogor City Government will intensify vaccinations for children aged 6-11 years until the second dose is complete as well as booster vaccinations for teachers and educators.

Data from the Bogor City Health Office stated that there were additional cases of positive COVID-19 patients and students, from 36 to 45.
