Bank Mandiri Facilitates Cashless Transactions At KFC And Taco Bell Outlets Owned By Entrepreneur Ricardo Gelael
JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) is said to have reached an agreement with PT Fast Food Indonesia Tbk (FAST) regarding the development of access to cashless payments.
Bank Mandiri SVP Transaction Banking Retail Sales, Thomas Wahyudi, said that this collaboration will be realized through the provision of cashless payment facilities in two trademarks affiliated with FAST, namely KFC fast food restaurants and Taco Bell. Meanwhile, FAST itself is a business entity owned by entrepreneur Ricardo Gelael.
"This collaboration is a form of initiative that is routinely carried out to encourage interest in non-cash transactions in the community," he said in an official statement, Monday, January 31.
According to Thomas, non-cash payments with QRIS are increasingly popular and are the main choice for customer transactions in the future.
"Along with Bank Mandiri's desire to become the main financial partner of choice for customers, we will continue to increase the number of payment acceptances using the company's digital channels to expand the cashless payment ecosystem for the community, especially using QRIS," he said.
Thomas added, as a trigger for non-cash activities at KFC and Taco Bell outlets, a special promotional program for consumers will be implemented. Some of them are by providing free products if there are transactions that reach a certain amount through Bank Mandiri's Livin and QRIS digital channels.
"We want to continue to innovate in the field of digital transactions along with the increasing need for new solutions in the current information technology era," he said.
On the same occasion, FAST Director Dalimin Juwono welcomed the synergy in providing digital payment services by Bank Mandiri.
"To succeed the non-cash agenda, we are ready to support through promotional and discount programs including the use of digital payment transaction services or other banking services," said Dalimin.
For information, until the end of 2021, the total QRIS transactions through Livin by Mandiri have reached Rp9.2 trillion, with a total transaction of 3.9 million. This number experienced a very significant increase compared to the period 2020.
