SAR Team Involves TNI-Polri Searching For Two Passengers Of The Fast Boat That Crashed In The Digul River
JAKARTA - As of Saturday, January 29, afternoon, the joint SAR team was still searching for two passengers on the fast boat who had an accident on the Digul River, Asiki, Boven Digoel Regency, Papua.
Quoted from Antara, the Head of Merauke SAR, Supriyanto Ridwan, explained that the incident occurred on Friday, January 28, at around 17.00 WIT. At that time, said Supriyanto, the victim was loading goods onto the ship from a fast boat.
Suddenly a strong current came so that the boat capsized and the five people on board fell into the Digoel River in Asiki, two of whom were missing.
Supriyanto said that his party received a report on the incident on Friday, January 28, at 23.50 WIT.
"The incident was reported by Budi by visiting the Search and Rescue Post in Tanah Merah, Boven Digoel Regency," said Ridwan.
He said two people who were reported missing, namely Widodo (48) and Rosikin (20), while three of his colleagues who survived, namely Jack who was the driver of the fast boat, Galuh (18) and Irawan (20).
At first, Rosikin wanted to help save Widodo, who is his uncle, but both of them were hit by a strong current
The search will continue on Sunday, January 30, involving members of the TNI-Polri in Asiki.
