Nuno Bettencourt Working On 2 Solo Projects At Once, One Of Them Is Follow Up Schizophonic

JAKARTA - Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt is working on two new solo projects. One of them, a kind of follow-up to his debut solo album, Schizophonic which was released in 1997 via A&M Records.

On Wednesday, January 26th, Bettencourt took to her social media to write: "NEW MUSIC ANNOUNCEMENT 2022!!!

"I'm embarking on a new and exciting journey. Working on two separate solo projects. On one of them, I have a full album already written and recorded and about to form an exciting new band.

"I'm looking for an amazing singer/frontman all over the world, an amazing rhythm section with a great bassist and drummer who can get along and sing too."

Bettencourt then invited the musicians to submit videos of their performances on stage, both playing musical instruments and singing as part of the selection process.

"My second project is 'everything I am'. Totally solo and a sonically real departure...a bit SCHIZOPHONIC part 2 for those in the know," he continued.

"So excited to share new music."

Bettencourt's track record as a rock star was engraved when she joined the legendary rock band Extreme in 1985. She has staked that success into an acclaimed career as a multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated artist, songwriter, and producer.

He worked with industry giants such as Sir Paul McCartney, Steven Tyler, Kanye West, Robert Palmer, Rihanna, Janet Jackson and Perry Farrell.

The guitarist is also the CEO and co-founder of Atlantis Entertainment, a full-service media and production company that creates and produces content through a venture that integrates film and television, music, branded entertainment, advertising and digital content.
