Enthusiastic Fans Of NCT's Mark Lee Will Release First Solo Song

JAKARTA - Mark Lee, a member of the NCT group, will officially release his first solo song. Thursday, January 27 night, SM Entertainment's agency uploaded an artwork of Mark's photo on social media.

The photo shows Mark wearing a hoodie with the words Child, the title of his first solo song.

Even though it's only one photo of the artwork, the fans' reactions immediately made Mark Lee's name a trending topic. Moreover, this announcement was shared after Mark performed solo at the 11th Gaon Chart Music Awards which was held on the same day.

Child is a hip-hop song with a sentimentally sensitive mix of electric guitar and synth bass. Mark is also known to participate in writing his solo songs.

Meanwhile, Child's song will be part of SM Station's new project, NCT Lab. This project will contain the release of solo songs and songs made by NCT members ranging from NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, to WayV.

Before Mark, several NCT members had released solo songs under the SM Station project, namely Ten and Taeyong.

“No one expected this. Everyone is shocked! Mark Lee really deserves this solo! He debuted eight times: NCT, 127, Dream, SuperM. Let's support him!” wrote one fan.

“Mark is one of the most talented people and he comes out with his songs and performances. So proud now that he has a solo song. No one does like Mark Lee," wrote another fan.

"I'm happy to see non-fans talking about Mark's solo. I know many are looking forward to Mark's solo," said another.

Mark himself is one of the songwriters for several NCT tracks such as Sticker, We Go Up, and Universe (Let's Play Ball). His vocal abilities, good rap skills, and performance make Mark an idol with a complete package.

Child's song by NCT's Mark Lee will be released on February 4 at 18:00 South Korean time.
