Negotiations were concluded by the two clubs on Sunday. The transfer has now been formalized by the Red Devils after they reached personal agreements with the player, who has also undergone a medical.
Van de Beek was not in the team when Ajax played against Eintracht Frankfurt and Union Berlin at the weekend. He is now United's first signing in the 2020 summer transfer market.

He has spent the last five years in the Ajax shirt, following promotion from the reserve team. He nearly made 200 appearances in all competitions for Ajax, and collected 41 goals and 34 assists.
At MU, Van de Beek will use the jersey number 34. This number was chosen as a tribute to his former teammate at Ajax who had a heart attack while playing, Abdelhak Nouri.
