GoSend, Gojek's on-demand logistics service, has launched a new feature called 'Package Acceptance Code' to strengthen security in package delivery.
This feature is a new standard for the security of instant delivery, especially when sending valuable items such as important documents or electronic goods by helping to ensure that the package is only delivered to the right recipient.
The 'Code to Receive Package' feature is optional, 100% free, and can be activated as needed. This feature complements the existence of insurance that can be activated to provide protection of up to IDR 50 million as well as various other security features that have been available previously such as the live-tracking feature.
By activating the 'Package Acceptance Code' feature on the GoSend service, users will receive a disposable security code containing 4 digits that must be shown to the driver partner when the package is given to the recipient.
The recipient or sender of the package must immediately inform this 4-digit code when the package has been received so that the driver partner can complete the delivery process.
Gojek's Head of Logistics, Sohan Vaswani, explained that the existence of the package acceptance code feature is a strategic step for GoSend in strengthening user confidence amid the increasing need for fast delivery.
"Instant delivery offers speed and security through a practical process and is delivered directly from the sender to the package recipient. Going further, GoSend presents the innovation of the Package Acceptance Code as an extra protection to help ensure that the delivery process is safer until the package is received," explained Sohan.
Steps to use the Package Receive Code feature:
The Receive Package Code can be activated on the GoSend service booking page. The Receive Package Code contains 4 digits, it will appear in the Gojek application of the sender and the recipient of the package.
The Group Chat feature will also be automatically formed in the Gojek application to facilitate communication between the sender & recipient of the package as well as GoSend driver partners.
If the recipient does not use the Gojek application, the code will be sent via WhatsApp or can be shared manually separately by the sender.
Once the order is received, the sender or recipient of the package must immediately inform the Package Acceptance Code containing 4 digits to the driver partner. The driver can only complete the order after entering the code, to ensure that the package is received by the right person.
