JAKARTA - YouTube has launched two new experimental features for its Premium subscribers on Android devices. The features include Automatic Speed and When Traveling.

These two features are designed to increase user flexibility when enjoying video content. Auto Speed is an upgraded version of the usual acceleration. This feature can adjust the playback speed of videos automatically, depending on the type of content.

The acceleration feature is only available for videos in English and on certain content. If the video the user is watching is supported by the feature, the user will see an 'Auto' button in the video speed setting menu in the application.

Next, When Traveling is a feature that adopts interface elements from the YouTube Music service. This feature offers a simpler look and easier navigation when users are moving places.

The system will detect movement for at least 60 seconds before offering to switch to this special mode. Users also have the option to manually activate the interface through video settings.

In this new look, the play button and video timeline are made larger so that they are easily reached by the thumb. The download button is also positioned more prominently to make it easier to access videos offline while on the go.

Both of these features are still experimental so users may encounter technical issues such as bugs. Premium customers are given the opportunity to try both features until April 27.

Google will review feedback from users before releasing this feature permanently to the public. However, it is possible that these features will not be released so that Google can focus on better features.
