JAKARTA - Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that the God of War Trilogy Remake game will soon be available on the PlayStation 5 console, but Sony has not shared the exact launch date.

Developed by Santa Monica Studio, God of War Trilogy Remake is a remake of God of War, God of War II, and God of War III. Complete with the presence of the original Kratos voice actor, TC Carson.

"We are very excited to confirm that the original God of War trilogy is being remade - and the best way to announce it is by bringing in the legendary TC Carson," Sony wrote in its official announcement.

Sony said that this project is still in the early development stage, so they ask players to be patient, because more information about this game may take longer.

"As soon as we can return with an update, we plan to provide a major update," the company added.

In addition to the remake of the main trilogy, Santa Monica Studio also announced their new game called God of War: Sons of Sparta which was developed together with Mega Cat Studios.

The game comes as a 2D action platformer with a canonical story that focuses on Kratos' youth while training at Agoge with his brother, Deimos. The story is written by a team of writers who previously worked on God of War (2018) and God of War Ragnarök.

Interestingly, Sons of Sparta also marks the return of TC Carson as the voice of Kratos, for the first time in over a decade. In this game, Carson plays the adult version of Kratos as well as the narrator of the story.

God of War: Sons of Sparta is officially released today for PlayStation 5, and is available in two digital editions on the PlayStation Store, namely the Standard Edition for 29.99 US dollars (Rp504 thousand) and the Digital Deluxe Edition for 39.99 US dollars (Rp673 thousand).
