JAKARTA - OpenAI has launched a special tool for translating text called ChatGPT Translate. This tool, which is a competitor to Google Translate, can be accessed through its official website.

Like its competitors, the interface of this device is designed very simply. When looking at it, users will find an input box to enter text as well as an easy-to-use language of origin and language options.

One of the features offered by this tool is the ability to adjust the tone of the translated speech. Users can choose a more formal style of language for business purposes or a simpler style that is easy for children to understand.

Although it has not been officially announced, this service is claimed to be able to support text conversion into more than 50 languages. However, for now, only about 28 languages are available that can be manually selected through the list of language boxes.

Based on a PC Mag report, this tool is supported by the latest GPT 5.2 model launched last month. With this AI model, the translation results feel more natural and contextual than traditional translation systems.

OpenAI also provided clues about image translation features and voice input in the future. Although not fully available on the desktop version, the microphone feature can already be used through the mobile browser.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
