The Government Officially Inaugurates 166 People's Schools, Komdigi Ensures Support for Connectivity

JAKARTA - The government has inaugurated 166 People's Schools spread across Indonesia simultaneously, as an effort to ensure that every child has the right to learn without being hampered by economic and regional factors.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Communication and Digital will ensure the smooth connectivity at the People's School so that the learning process can run equally across Indonesia.

Currently, the People's School has been operating in 166 points in 34 provinces and 131 regencies/cities. This program accommodates 15,954 students with the support of 2,218 teachers and 4,889 education personnel.

Minister of Communication and Information Meutya Hafid stated that the Ministry of Communication and Information supports People's Schools by providing internet connectivity, strengthening the school network, and digital literacy and skills.

"This support ensures that the learning process runs smoothly throughout the region," Meutya said in an official statement quoted on Tuesday, January 13.

President Prabowo Subianto also expressed his appreciation to all ministries and agencies involved. He emphasized that development must be accompanied by equalization so that the benefits are felt by the people.

Prabowo called the People's School a breakthrough and a bold step to bring social justice in the field of education.

"I would like to thank all elements who have worked to realize this breakthrough step. I am touched to see the impact on our children," he said. .
