JAKARTA - Kinetic Games, the developer studio behind the horror game Phasmophobia, has officially announced the establishment of Kinetic Publishing, a new publishing label.

Kinetic Publishing is designed to support innovation within the scope of independent game development, and help teams in the development of games in various genres, with a focus on a small number of projects.

Kinetic Games CEO and former sole developer, Daniel Knight, revealed that the label will offer financial, legal, marketing, and game development guidance support.

"The fact that we have grown so much as a company, we are now in a position where we want to support the studios that are under our umbrella, and provide support that I will appreciate at the beginning of my journey," Daniel said in his official announcement.

Kinetic Publishing will be looking for creative games from small teams and indie developers around the world, who have a clear vision for their game titles and will be released within 12-18 months.

Kinetic Publishing's team will be led by five members of the core senior team, including Daniel. He will be accompanied by Asim, who has more than 15 years of experience in the game and technology industry, and has worked for some of the world's largest game publishers, including 2K, KONAMI, and Zynga.

Meanwhile, the Kinetic Games development team will continue to focus entirely on Phasmophobia, including a number of exciting announcements, and the launch of the long-awaited Chronicle Update.

"The game will be bringing more in 2026, including its journey towards launching version 1.0, with Kinetic Games revealing the roadmap later this year," the announcement concluded.
