JAKARTA - Microsoft Indonesia announced the launch of the second year of Microsoft Elevate, an artificial intelligence training initiative (AI) which was first launched in December 2024.

Entering its second year, the program targets to train 500,000 AI-certified talents, particularly teachers, leaders of non-profit organizations, and community-propelled figures supporting the surrounding community through technology, starting in 2026.

Previously known as Indonesia's elevate, this second year, Microsoft is committed to providing a more in-depth learning experience through cross-sectoral collaboration to equip Indonesians with the skills, tools, and knowledge needed to develop in the AI era.

"We are very enthusiastic about supporting collaboration with Microsoft Elevate, so that the nation's best talents can continue to develop and have a positive impact on the wider community," said Head of the Human Resources Development Agency of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Bonifasius Pudjianto.

Meanwhile, Eleve Skills Director, Microsoft Arief Suseno emphasized that the presence of Microsoft Elveate is Microsoft's effort to respond to the growing enthusiasm for Indonesian people to learn from AI.

This year, we want to continue this momentum by not only increasing the amount of participation, but also creating a more profound and measurable impact. Our focus is on helping individuals and organizations implement AI skills to solve real challenges and encourage meaningful transformation in their communities," Arief added.

Carrying the tagline 'Move, Present Impact', the program is designed with a 40 percent learning approach and 60 percent practice, and utilizing various Microsoft tools such as Copilot and others to help participants apply their knowledge effectively.

To achieve this target, the implementation of Microsoft Elevate will be divided into three main pillars, namely presenting innovative solutions for education, empowering people with AI skills to develop in the AI economic era, and supporting data-based decision-making in the government sector through training and advocacy.

Through Microsoft Elevate, Microsoft is committed to supporting human-centered AI innovations.
