JAKARTA - Singapore's Ubisoft has just inaugurated Studio Blue (formerly called Studio A), a new audio facility designed to support immersive game production with Dolby Atmos technology.

This studio is now equipped with 11 Neumann monitor KH 80 DSP and subwoofer KH 810, presenting precision and deep sound quality to enrich storytelling in the game.

Studio Blue is the result of a total renovation of the old studio which previously used the 5.1 system, now switched to Dolby Atmos configuration 7.1.4.

The move marks Ubisoft Singapore as Southeast Asia's first game studio with Dolby Atmos audio facilities devoted to game development.

The transition from 5.1 to Dolby Atmos feels like the next natural step, thanks to its 3D object-based workflow that allows our game to be enjoyed properly by the audience as wide as possible," said Associate Lead Audio Designer at Ubisoft Singapore, Nicolas Ow.

With the support of Broadcast Communications International and Dolby Singapore, Studio Blue was built to be ready to face the needs of the future game industry.

Founded in 2008, Ubisoft Singapore now employs nearly 500 employees and is known for its contributions to the Assassin's Creed series and Skull and Bones (2024).

With investment in Studio Blue, Ubisoft affirms its commitment to continuing to lead immersive audio and storytelling innovations in Southeast Asia.

Just like a movie, games are about escapism. People played it for a moment to escape from the real world, and the essence of that experience lies in an immersive sensation, "concluded Nicolas.
