Jakarta Google is again presenting a new breakthrough through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) Gemini in the Gmail service. This time, the tech giant launched a smart feature called Help me schedule' that makes it easier for users to schedule meetings directly from their inboxes.

This feature uses Gemini's ability to detect email contexts related to meeting plans, then automatically scan the user's calendar to find suitable blank times. As a result, Gmail can display direct schedule recommendations in email writing windows, so users don't have to go back and forth to open Google Calendar.

When the 'Help me schedule' button is pressed, Gemini will display several available time options. Users can edit, customize, or immediately open the calendar display via the View in Calendar option. When the email recipient selects one of the recommended times, the system will automatically create an invitation on the calendar of both parties.

However, this feature still has limitations: it can only be used in two people's conversations, it doesn't support the group yet. There has been no official confirmation from Google whether support for group conversations will come to the next update.

For now, the 'Help me schedule' is only available to Gemini and Google Workspace paid users, including Google AI Pro, Ultra, Pro for Education, as well as Workspace Business Standard, Plus, Enterprise, and Frontline Plus packages. In addition, this feature is only available for the web version of Gmail, not yet available on mobile applications.

With this step, Google deepens Gemini's integration into its application ecosystem, continuing the footsteps of previous features such as 'Help me write' in Gmail. Now, not only writing emails that AI can help schedule meetings with just one click.
