Samsung Releases W26 Folding Phone That Makes Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ancient

JAKARTA - The Galaxy Z Fold 7 from Samsung is not only one of the best foldable phones you can buy right now, but also one of the best Android phones in 2025. Now, the company has released another version of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 which brings everything from design to feature to a higher level.

As if the Galaxy Z Fold 7 isn't impressive enough, Samsung has released W26 in China. Although most of the specifications behind the scenes remain the same, the W26 looks very luxurious with an amazing red and black choice, complete with gold accents, giving premium aesthetics that are almost like jewelry.

Although the design is improved, the W26 remains very light with a weight of 215g, retaining the title as the thinst and lightest foldable phone on the market. Samsung is also going further in terms of presentations. The W26 is sent in an elegant box that includes a cap ofEVillar, charging cables, and a genuine charger of something that is rarely encountered nowadays.

In terms of performance, W26 is equipped with 16GB RAM in both 512GB and 1TB storage options, while the 512GB Galaxy Z Fold 7 model only offers 12GB RAM. It also features several exclusive Galaxy AI features, including Smart Collection, which allows users to drag images and text into special spaces for easier content management.

The price of W26 starts at 16,999 yuan for the 512GB and yuan versions for the 1TB model. The device remains exclusive to China without any international launch plans. Samsung has traditionally restricted the W series to the Chinese market as part of its long-term partnership with China Telecom.

This series adapts to local design aesthetics and is often marketed as a status symbol product rather than a mainstream device. This is why this phone will be sold simultaneously with the regular Galaxy Z Fold 7 in China.
