Apple Is Developing Next Generation H3 And AirPods Processors

JAKARTA Apple had surprised many people when launching AirPods Pro 3. This happened not because of new features or various improvements on the device, but because of the processor.

The company is still using the old H2 processor. Even though some people had suspected that the AirPods would adopt a newer processor. This shows that the increase in the AirPods Pro 3 is supported by an increase in its hardware.

Although not visible in the latest Pro version, that doesn't mean the processor will be present. According to a Bloomberg report, Apple's silicon team is developing the processor with a number of improvements.

This processor will reduce audio output latency and improve overall audio quality. Although the exact schedule is not yet clear, it is possible that the H3 processor will debut in the latest AirPods Pro 3 variant.

Most likely, this device will be launched next year by including an IR or Infrared camera. The IR camera will require additional processing power so that H3 needs to provide computational needs for new features related to the camera.

Apart from H3, Apple is also developing its newest AirPods entry-level. AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 models with an Active Noise Plant (ANC) launched last year will get an update.

There is no definite schedule for the AirPods 5 launch and its upgrade is expected to be simpler than before. There have been reports stating that AirPods 5 will also use H3 to support expected performance improvements.
