Telkomsel, Indosat, And XLSMART Agree To Run Telco API Alliance, Improve Digital Ecosystem Security

JAKARTA - Telkomsel, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH), and XLSMART officially carried out the initiative with the Telco API (Application Programming Interface) Alliance, to accelerate the standardization of the Telco API protocol in Indonesia.

Through this initiative, the three operators agreed to uniform the use of the CAMARA international standard-based Telco API protocol, so that the integration of the ecosystem of each operator with various applications becomes easier, safer, and more inclusive.

Through the Telco API Alliance, Telkomsel emphasized its consistency in utilizing the latest technology to provide useful solutions for the people of Indonesia, especially in terms of protection from digital crimes," said Telkomsel's Planning and Transformation Director, Wong Soon Nam.

The signing of the Telco API Alliance Memorandum of Understanding is a continuation of the GSMA Open Gateway initiative which was agreed upon by Telkomsel, IOH, and XLSMART on February 21, 2024.

Director and Chief Business Officer of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, M Danny Buldansyah emphasized that the commitment of the three telecommunication operators in Indonesia is a form of their efforts to strengthen economic growth in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Director and Chief Enterprise Strategic Relationship Officer of XLSART, Andrijanto Muljono hopes that Telco API Alliance can become a catalyst for producing strategic collaborations in providing the latest digital services and encouraging the birth of new breakthroughs.
