AirPods Pro 3 Has A Super Accuracy Heart Rate Sensor, Much Better Than PowerBeats Pro 2

JAKARTA - Apple officially presents the AirPods Pro 3 as the latest generation of its popular TWS line, and this time there is a feature that makes a scene: heart rate monitoring. The difference with the previous series, the technology used is completely new and the results are referred to by the examiners as "crazy".

In an in-depth review conducted by triathlete and sports technology reviewer DC Rainmaker, AirPods Pro 3 is able to provide very consistent heart rate data even in heavy scenarios such as interval training. He compared AirPods Pro 3 data with seven different devices, including Apple Watch Ultra, Garmin Fenix 8 Pro, Polar 360 bands, to PowerBeats Pro 2.

The result was surprising: PowerBeats Pro 2 failed completely when it was used to run outdoor, while the AirPods Pro 3 actually appeared very solid. I'm really shocked. This is really good, even in the most difficult test," said DC Rainmaker, who is known to rarely overestimate products.

A big difference exists in sensor technology. PowerBeats Pro 2 relies on optical sensors with green LEDs that emit more than 100 times per second of light. While AirPods Pro 3 uses a custom PPG (photopletysmography) sensor that emits 256 times per second of infrared light. Apple says this is the smallest heart rate sensor they have ever created specifically for AirPods.

Although not perfect, Rainmaker assesses that Apple has succeeded in doing something other manufacturers have never achieved: presenting a good sound quality earbud as well as a truly reliable heart rate sensor.

"If you want to find a device that can do everything, the choice is only AirPods Pro 3. There are no headphones with another heart rate sensor that is close to this level of accuracy," he said.

With this additional feature, AirPods Pro 3 is not only a friend of listening to music, but also a practical device of health and exercise a new breakthrough that can change the standards of the TWS sport market in the future.
