JAKARTA The Nintendo Switch emulator named Eden is now officially available on the Google Play Store. Eden's presence on this official Google platform is in the spotlight because it opens wider access for Android users to try the rising Switch emulator.
Eden's development team confirmed via Discord that the application's listing on the Play Store is 'legit, fully owned and published by us.' However, the version currently available is still an old release. While the latest update, version 0.0.3 launched Friday 12 September, is still awaiting approval from Google.
The version 0.0.3 itself brings a number of bug fixes, increased performance, integration with EmuReady, and support for the latest gamepan Knight: Silksong.

Eden is a fork from Yuzu, one of the most popular Switch emulators that Nintendo closed in 2024. After Yuzu was discontinued, its open-source source code remained available, allowing other developers to continue its development. From there Eden was born, after several developers who had worked on another fork, Citron, decided to form a new team.
Although still in its early stages, Eden is considered one of the most promising Switch emulators projects for Android. By being present on the Play Store, Eden's visibility is increasing. However, this move also has the potential to spark Nintendo's attention, which is known to be strict in protecting game copyright and its consoles.
Eden can be downloaded by Android 11 devices or later via the Google Play Store.
