JAKARTA Apple's iOS and other operating systems (OS) will get a lot of updates in the near future, but this doesn't include Siri. The Cupertino company will again leave an upgrade on Siri.

According to a recent report from Bloomberg, major updates to Siri will still be coming in the spring. Judging from the time, it is likely that Siri will be more sophisticated in March to May next year.

This means that users have to wait more than half a year just to get Apple's virtual assistant capabilities that are much more sophisticated. In fact, this latest version of Siri was awaited before iOS 18 was launched.

The latest version of this virtual assistant will be equipped with an App Intents feature that will allow Siri to handle more complex tasks. Later, Siri can overcome more complicated tasks in the application.

For example, users can ask Siri to comment on Instagram posts, add items to shopping carts, or even edit and send certain photos. It is not yet certain whether this latest launch schedule is correct.

Since failing to launch an Apple Intelligence-based Siri and attracting various ads promoting the assistant, Apple has been trying to catch up. This is done to fulfill its own claims about Siri's upgrade.

The company wants to make sure that all the features they promised will still be present and run perfectly before being released to the public. Currently, Apple is known to be testing App Intents with various applications, both owned by Apple itself and third parties.

Several mentioned third-party applications include Amazon, Facebook, Threads, and WhatsApp. However, for apps that handle sensitive data such as banking, Apple may apply certain limitations or even avoid them.
