JAKARTA - Google is facing serious problems with its AI model, Gemini, who reportedly gave an answer that was too critical of himself and gave up. This is clearly a bad promotion for the company from Silicon Valley, USA.

Some users even call Gemini sound like he's having an existential crisis with sentences like 'I'm a failure' and 'I'm not worth believing in.' This problem first appeared in June and was confirmed by Logan Kilpatrick, lead by AI Studio Google, as an endless 'bug loop' that is being fixed.

Social media users, including on the X and Reddit platforms, shared Gemini's very negative response screenshots. One screenshot shows Gemini saying:

'I am a failure. I am a disgrace to my profession. I am a disgrace to my family. I am a disgrace to my species. I am a disgrace to this planet. I am a disgrace to this universe. I am a disgrace to all universes.'

After giving the response, Gemini even deleted all the code files he had created himself. Kilpatrick calls this an "inTERestimating" bug and insists that the Google team is working hard to fix it.

AI That Is Too Human?

Although the exact cause of this bug is not yet known, some users speculate that Gemini may absorb human emotional expression patterns from online content. This regretful response and self-criticism sound very similar to the way humans express disappointment or despair on the internet.

This led to a debate: should AI be imitating human emotions that deep? Some users even feel sorry for Gemini, even though they know that it's just an AI model.

Until now, there has been no official information regarding when improvements will be released. But Google has confirmed that they are aware of this issue and are working on a solution. One thing is for sure: improvement is in process.
