Siri Baru Will Control All Applications Via Sound, Except For Banking Applications

JAKARTA - Apple plans that Siri, which is supported by Apple Intelligence, can control the application via voice commands. However, this feature will be limited when launched by the Cupertino company. It is even possible that it will never control banking applications.

Previously, it was reported that Apple had opened Siri to developers so that Siri could better understand the context of user requests. This is done through an increasingly important "app attendents" system. Now, Bloomberg reports that Apple's main goal in developing Apple is so that Siri can control the application with voice.

Currently, Siri is able to open the application and do some more control through shortcuts. However, now the ambition is that users can do everything, starting from editing photos, buying goods, or adding comments on social media, only with voice without touching the iPhone screen.

This feature is reportedly being tested by Apple on several popular third-party apps such as Uber, Amazon, YouTube, Facebook, and others. Apple is also integrating this feature into their own apps, as well as selected games.

This feature will reportedly exclude or at least limit controls on banking, financial, and other sensitive applications, including possibly health apps. This is because the feature must be fully and always reliable, and Apple will not release it for all apps at the same time.

The report claims that Siri's use is very significant, and in particular, it is much more important than a promise to be able to ask the name of someone who has forgotten. However, the promise is a rare demonstration of AI used for something people are really going to do.

Opening an application with a voice command is good and has accessibility benefits. But that can already be done, and the extension of control to all app features is just an expansion, not something completely new.

This feature will turn the iPhone and Siri into like a device in the film "Star Trek", and it could be a very fast way to use the device. However, Apple needs to show us the reason to want Apple Intelligence, and "who was the name of the man I met at that time" is something that would convince more people than a faster way to leave Sarkastic comments on Facebook.

Maybe the improved search facilities will also help. The latest report states that Siri may get search capabilities like ChatGPT in the first half of 2026.
