The Ministry Of MSMEs Asks The Platform To Lower Service Costs For MSME Profits

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) recommends digital platforms such as Gofood to reduce service fees or fees to strengthen the MSME ecosystem in Indonesia.

The statement was delivered directly by the Deputy for Micro Business at the Ministry of MSMEs, Riza Adha Damanik, and was a direct suggestion from the Minister of MSMEs, Maman Abdurrahman.

"We hope that the innovations will continue to be strengthened so that the benefits for MSMEs will also be greater. And at the same time, of course, the fee platform, this is a special message from the Minister, more efficient. So that later the benefits will also increase for MSMEs," said Riza at the Press Conference on the Expansion of the GoFood Learning Corner Assistance Program on Friday, August 8 in Jakarta.

However, Riza has not disclosed how much a decrease in the government expects. However, he admitted that he had met a number of platforms to discuss the matter.

"The game doesn't exist yet, of course, but basically we've actually had a meeting, have spoken to a number of platforms," he further told the media crew.

He emphasized that discussions related to the decline in fees are expected to find the right numbers, to advance MSMEs, without reducing the platform's sustainability interests.

"But at the same time, the government also has an interest in ensuring that each of our MSMEs that utilizes digital platforms also has optimal benefits," said Riza.

Not to forget, he also added, "Well both have to go on, more or less. Of course that's what we want to strengthen."
