Honor Launches Play 70 Plus, Comes With Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 And Jumbo Battery 7,000 MAh

JAKARTA - Honor has just released its newest mid-range smartphone in China, the Honor Play 70 Plus. This phone features several key features, including the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, a giant battery with a capacity of 7,000 mAh, and a sturdy body.

The Honor Play 70 Plus has a 6.77-inch LCD screen with HD + resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is also equipped with DC dimming features and various eye protection modes, including natural light options.

For security, there is a fingerprint sensor placed on the body side. This phone also has a special AI button in addition to various quick actions, such as cleaning memory or adjusting brightness.

Powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, Honor claims the device is capable of providing smooth performance in the long run. The large 7,000 mAh battery supports 45W fast charging and even inverse charging.

In terms of camera, this phone is equipped with a 50 MP resolution rear camera equipped with AI features, such as object removal, image expansion, and eye correction. Another interesting feature is double stereo speakers with volumes of up to 400%, NFC, and an Android-based Magic OS 9.0 operating system 15.

Honor Play 70 Plus is available in three variants:

8 GB + 256 GB: 1,199 Yuan (around Rp 2.8 million)

12 GB + 256 GB: 1,399 Yuan (around Rp 3.2 million)

12 GB + 512 GB: 1,599 Yuan (around Rp 3.7 million)

This phone comes in four color options Blue, Black, Red, and White and will go on sale in China on August 8.

A recent report states that Honor is also preparing to launch Honor 400 Smart and Honor X7d globally. Both models have the same model number, LOG-NX1, which indicates that both could be a rebrand version of Play 70 Plus for markets outside China.
