This happens because according to global cybersecurity firm Kaspersky, the more platforms are used, the less control over these platforms. Thus, creating many accidental violations.
Between the second half of 2024 and the first half of 2025, Kaspersky experts detected 6,146,462 attacks disguised as platforms or content linked to 20 popular work tools.
The top targets are Zoom (3,849,489 attacks), Microsoft Excel (835,179 attacks), and Outlook (731,025 attacks), followed by OneDrive (352,080 attacks) and Microsoft Teams (151,845 attacks).
