JAKARTA Google added the latest feature for Video Overview on NotebookLM. The digital learning application now offers a slide show maker feature with a narration.

Like most features in NotebookLM, this slider feature uses Artificial Intelligence (AI). This feature has just been launched in English, but Google says it will expand its features in other languages in the future.

"The first format that we launched today is in the form of a narrative slide. You can consider it a visual alternative to Audio Overview," Google said on its official website, quoted on Wednesday, July 30. "This makes (NotebookLM) very effective for explaining data."

This feature can help users in illustrating the material they want to study. They can display data in the form of points per point, insert images, diagrams, quotes, to numbers from documents.

This illustration is considered effective in explaining complex data, demonstrating processes, and making more concrete abstract concepts. In the near future, Google plans to add an additional format.

In addition to adding the ability to create narrative slides, Google also updates the Studio tab in NotebookLM. Now, users can create and store multiple studio outputs of the same type in one notebook.

This means that users can create some Audio Overview that refers to the same information from notebooks. Tab Studio will also get visual refreshers.

There will be four tackles at the top to create an Audio Summary, Video Summary, Mindmap, and Report. This change will roll out in the next few weeks for all users.
