JAKARTA Google launched Search Live, a voice support feature, on the Google app. This new feature began rolling out gradually to Android and iOS devices on Wednesday, June 18.

Search Live is an experimental feature based on Gemini. This feature is still in the testing phase and can only be accessed by users in the US who are listed in the AI Mode experiment at Search Labs. This feature will support searches on the Search page.

Users can ask any questions and Search Live will respond in voice, exactly like Gemini Live. However, this feature takes advantage of various articles available on Google Search.

Users can ask questions like 'How to prevent dresses made from getting tangled up in a suitcase'. Later, Search Live will provide responses along with links that can direct users to deeper web content.

In addition, users can also ask further questions from what they have asked. Interestingly, Search Live can work in the background so that users can continue the conversation while switching to other platforms.

If users want to explore further, they can tap the Transcript button to view the text response while asking a question in your form. Users can review Search Live response via AI Mode history.

"Our special model is built based on the best quality and information system Search in its class, so you still get a reliable response and help anywhere, or whatever, you ask questions," Google said, quoted on Thursday, June 19.

Google plans to bring more 'Live' capabilities to AI Mode in the coming months, including using the camera while the user is talking. Thus, users can show Search what they see in real time.
