PSN Gandeng PT LEN To Optimize The Benefits Of National Satellite Technology

JAKARTA - PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN), a pioneer of satellite communication services in Indonesia, collaborated with the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and PT LEN Industri, to strengthen national satellite technology infrastructure.

This collaboration with PT LEN Industri is a form of strategic synergy that combines all capabilities, resources, and expertise owned by the two companies to optimize services and utilize satellite technology in Indonesia.

"By combining PSN's strength in the field of satellite operations and LEN's experience in the defense and electronics industry sector, we hope to encourage the creation of technological solutions that are not only relevant for domestic needs, but also have global competitiveness," said PSN President Director Adi Rahman in his statement, quoted Thursday, June 19.

Meanwhile, this collaboration with BRIN aims to conduct research and development of phased array antennas for satellite communication at earth stations.

Thephased array antenna is a cutting-edge technology that allows control of signal beam direction without physical movement mechanisms, making it faster, more precise, and resistant to extreme environmental conditions.

"The development of this phased array antenna will be one of the important foundations in building a next-generation satellite communication system," Adi said further.

According to Adi, this phased array antenna is not only more reliable and efficient for satellites, but is also able to answer the challenges of increasingly complex connectivity needs in the future.

Adi also emphasized that these various strategic partnerships show PSN's commitment to continue to expand cross-sectoral collaboration, strengthen the synergy between industry and research institutions.

In addition, PSN also hopes to actively participate in creating a global competitive national satellite ecosystem that relies on technological independence.
