JAKARTA - Spotify presents a new feature that allows users to remotely download music to their smartwatches from mobile phones, tablets, or desktops. This feature is especially available to Spotify Premium subscribers.

Previously, users could only download music directly from their smartwatch small screens. Now, Wear OS users such as Pixel Watch and Galaxy Watch can download songs, playlists, or favorite albums directly from the Spotify app on their phones to the watch without touching the wearable device.

How to use it is quite easy: in the Spotify app, press the three-dot button next to the playlist, select Download to other devices, then select the connected smartwatch name to start downloading. This feature also supports other devices that have entered the user account, including iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

Spotify also added the Manage downloads' feature on mobile phone applications to make it easier for users to see and manage songs that have been downloaded on various devices. This is very helpful especially when approaching the limit of five devices for offline downloads on Premium accounts.

This feature is being rolled out in stages, so not all users can directly access it. The subscription price of Spotify Premium starts from IDR 170,000 per month for individual packages and IDR 280,000 for family packages.
