JAKARTA After developing AI Overview, Google is now introducing a new support feature for Google Search. The company will launch a summary of artificial intelligence-based audio (AI).

Named Audio Overview, this feature will appear in Google Search search results when users enter questions or search for certain topics. This feature works like AI Overview, only with the concept of audio presentation.

Audio Overview launched as part of Search Labs. This means that this feature is still in the testing or development stage.

Google is still collecting input from the feature to find out the shortcomings or constraints in it.

Just like AI Overview, Audio Overview is supported by the Gemini model. The feature collects related answers from millions of websites circulating on Google, then creates them in audio summary.

However, the way it works is not as instant as AI Overview. This audio feature is only active if the user presses the 'Create Audio Summary' button in the Audio Overview section. After that, Gemini will process the information with about 40 seconds.

Once the generated audio is available, Google will embed the associated source at its bottom. Users will have the option to double the audio or lower the audio to 0.25x.

The screened sound is also generated by AI. It is not yet known whether the user will have the option to change its voice. For now, the feature is only available to users in the US who took part in the Search Labs experiment with mobile devices.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
